kbv
Ok, how do I get power to these fans? I have a Dell xps630i. The directions say plug fan into the fan header. No idea what a fan header is, the small picture gives me no clue either and since the power wires lead to a three pin slot connector and there is no three pin connections anywhere within the computer (motherboard/power supply wires), I'm at a totally lost why this thing is offered for sale?? How do i get power???
Wired
Typically you just call upon the power of Grayskull... :) Or, you can just get a power cable converter from your local PC store, or Newegg, etc. Most standard motherboards have 3 pin headers, but it's always a crapshoot with OEMs and their love of being proprietary. As far as I'm aware it wasn't meant for non-Corsair memory / OEM systems, although it would probably work with them.
kbv
thanks. my system came with corsair memory cards, so i just stayed with them. but i think i'll need more than just an adapter because there is NO empty four pin headers either. Hope they make a four pin to 2 three pin adapter....sigh.
