RSConsulting
Hello, I have purchased the following: XFX nForce 750a SLI Motherboard - MDA72P7509Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C5AMD Phenom 9500 Processor HD9500WCGDBOX I am trying to narrow down if everything will work together since initially when I boot the computer, it will shut down after a few seconds. All I have in the computer is the mobo, memory and HD. Generally what is bad is usually the board, memory then CPU, in that order. I have received a replacement mobo from XFX (good guys and fast support). When I asked about compatibility, they tell me that the memory should work since they have had rare instances where it will not. The board can handle the specs of the memory. Now my question to you is the compatibility Corsair has with the mobo and cpu. All the specs seem right and I could not find anything in the forum to say otherwise. TigerDirect is even recommending the memory when you buy the mobo. That is the reason I purchased the memory after I checked the specs. I am just trying to cover all bases so I do not spend hours trying to figure out why the PC does not boot. Is there something in the BIOS I need to set of course if I could get to the Bios. I have not tried the new mobo yet but again, I did not want to take more time until I get more facts. Thanks for any help you can give. I am ready to get this thing going so I can place some of the awesome games out there!! RS
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 14, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 14, 2009 These modules should run great in that MB, have you tested the modules one at a time, if so did you get the same results with either module?
