thenosboss
I have 2 x Corsair 6GB (3 x 2GB) PC3-15000 1866MHz DDR3 RAM - 9-9-9-24 - TR3X6G1866C9DF Dominator ... Would this 12GB setup be ok on a Gigabyte GA X58 Extreme Motherboard...???
Wired
Maybe, but it's not guaranteed to hit those speeds with the memory controller fully loaded.

Wired
One pack will work at rated speeds, but no one can guarantee what hasn't been tested. If you drop the speeds, yes, 2 packs will probably work, but if you're going to do that then it's better to just get a 12 GB pack (e.g. HX3X12G1600C9). FYI: Guaranteed-Compatible Memory for your Gigabyte GA-EX58-Extreme
