Write, but not read on GT 16GB

Hi guys!

 

I was very surprised to find I could easily put full 16 GB of data on my stick at work yesterday after I bought it, but at home, when I tried to copy/read data from the stick, it would fail. The device would suddenly "disappear" - unplug itself, so to say, and then reappear, making reading impossible. It worked for 2 files (1@ 9kb, 1@ 16 kb), but for nothing larger, like 200MB or so. Same on my wife's computer.

Where's the problem?

Edit: XP32, I can also delete files of any size, but never read. Writing also still works.
