Darigaaz
Hi, This is my first time changing or even installing memory. I bought the memory in the title to upgrade from my 1gb sticks but strange errors including BSOD keep on popping up. Looking around, I decided to run Memtest86+ v1.70 and it found 4 errors in test 6 and 1 error in test 4. I let it run for 3 passes. Is this memory bad? Any help would be appreciated. Edit: My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1720

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 6, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 6, 2009 Please try the following instructions, in order to get your system to recognize the new memory: 1. Remove all RAM 2. Power on system 3. Let it run for 20-30 seconds (system may power off prior to 20secs) 4. Remove battery and AC (to insure power is off) 5. Only install the Corsair RAM 6. Check with Memtest If you still get errors with just the Corsair memory module installed then lets get it replaced. You can use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.”
