poisonjam
Hello! My Corsair H50 just came through the post today! Very excited! Just have a few questions: Will I void the warranty if i remove the pre-applied thermal interface material (TIM)? I would like to apply a 3rd party TIM instead. Do you think I will have any problem when installing the unit with TIM? (i.e. when the mounting bracket is installed; putting the unit through the bracket and then sliding into place). Will the TIM be spread appropriately? Finally, I can't see any "warranty void if removed" sticker, anywhere on the unit or packaging. Is this an issue? The only warranty information is in the quick start booklet. Thanks for your time.
PeterFazekas
Nah, i don't think Corsair would have any problem with you slapping some artic silver on there. Don't quote me on that though. Also, don't put the grease on the block itself, spread it across the CPU instead.
