DarkNeutron
I am posting this to express my irritation with the rebate I just received for a Crosair product. I sent out for a $15 rebate on a Flash Voyager 8GB and, instead of a check like normal, I received a CITI bank prepaid card. Along with it came several pages of rules, regulations, fees, and a pamphlet on how CITI is going to give away my information (the "privacy" statement). Furthermore, it did not allow ATM access so there was no way to withdraw the money and deposit it into a regular account. I called Corsair customer support (1-888-222-4346, Ext 3) and, after being transferred, got someone to send me a check if I sent the card back. Whats more, I was told that I would have to go through this rigmarole every time I wanted a normal check. I understand that Corsair rebates are handled by a third-party, but I am no longer going to factor in rebates when comparing Corsair products to other brands. It is just too much of a hassle.
