softwarejanitor
It was purchased as a pair from Fry's around Easter time and was working fine but stopped abruptly just recently. The system will now not even come on when one of the two sticks is installed in either slot whether the other stick is installed or not. The system will boot and runs the Ubuntu (9.04 AM64) memory test w/o errors with just the other memory stick installed. I've also tried the bad stick in another similar Shuttle motherboard and it exhibits the exact same problem there so I am pretty sure its the memory stick that is bad. Do I need to RMA and return both sticks, or can I keep using the system with one installed and get just the bad one replaced?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 30, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 30, 2009 Let's get it replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.” You would also need to return both sticks as they are sold as a set for dual channel. =)
