spondee
Ahoy, Background I recently purchased a Voyager 8Gb... The product has performed well so far from a read performance perspective, but has been performing poorly (from what I can gather) from a write performance perspective. I've tested it using Atto Disk Benchmark, HDTach. For 64MB->2048Mb tests the results are approximately: Write Speed (MB/sec) - 5.485 Read Speed (MB/sec) - 29.85 (Drive has been formatted with HP Format Utility with one partition, and normal defaults) Question: Is this drive faulty? (Is this an excessively slow write speed? or about normal - just because I've seen faster speeds quoted elsewhere)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 26, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 26, 2009 Please try and format the drive with the Format utility from the SD-CARD Organization. Then run the HD-Bench software with a 100MB File size to test the performance. And let me know the results but the write should be about 8 MBps. spondee
I've formatted the drive with SD Format Util and run HD-Bench with 100Mb file size. Each run varies pretty widely but here are some of the results: 1 - 4202 2 - 1532 3 - 3206 4 - 5146
