pp1111
My HX620 will make squeezing noise when scrolling from the mouse in IE with photos web page. (did tried other mouse, same) Also it keeps squeezing when I just launch the Video Card Stability Program. (starting any test yet) http://freestone-group.com/ one. But if I start the test, noise gone. Looks like the noise only come within certain voltage. May I know what cause is problem? Is my power supply safe? Coz I really don't want to RMA it. Many thanks for your help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 26, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 26, 2009 If you boot the system up in safe mode, can you duplicate the same issues?
pp1111
If you boot the system up in safe mode, can you duplicate the same issues? Dear RAM GUY, No. (the videocard fan run at 100%) In normal mode, I can hear a little when HDD running and when that video program at idle mode + scrolling on the web. Many thanks again.. pp1111
I turn off the smooth scrolling option, it does lower the noise when I scroll the page. Dunno does that help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 29, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 29, 2009 Most likely this is a video driver related issue. Make sure you have the latest driver installed.
pp1111
I did and also tried with another videocard. Current using GTS 250 and tried with 260 GTX , same promble still. :(: If I use ATI-tools, noise even worse.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 30, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 30, 2009 If you can't replicate the noise in safemode, then it isn't a hardware issue. Most likely some drivers or the fan regulator cause the video card to give bad feedback to the PSU. This won't cause any harm to your PSU... if you want I can certainly get this PSU replaced for you; please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.”
