periballo
Corsair XMS2 and PCCHIPS A13g+ v3.0 board Is there any reason this RAM wouldn't be compatible? The board says it supports DDR@ up to 800mhz and up to 16G. I put 2x2048 sticks in and got a lot of beeping, but no boot. Any Suggestions?
Yellowbeard
What specific modules do you have? And, do you have a link to the PC Chips specifications for that MOBO? My first guess is that the board will not supply the correct memory voltage.
periballo
here's the board's site: http://www.pcchips.com.tw/PCCWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?detailid=392&CategoryID=1&DetailName=Specification&MenuID=44&LanID=0 Here's the RAM http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3089474&SRCCODE=WEBLET03SHIP&cm_mmc=Email-_-WebletMain-_-WEBLET03SHIP-_-03ship
periballo
After comparing the new and the old, both RAMs are 1.8v
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 26, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 26, 2009 This is a quot from the link you gave me. I would suggest testing the modules one at a time to be sure one is not failing and if you get the same results with them I would test them in another MB to be sure. 2 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets support up to 16 GB (Due to the DRAM maximum size is 2GB at present, the memory maximum size we have tested is 4GB)
