cdbarron
Was adding 512mb to a Toshiba Satellite with 512mb already installed... verified thru Toshiba site the type of ram needed. The computer would not boot-up afterward... powers-up... black screen. I removed the new ram and it still won't boot...same thing.......... Yellowbeard
Check in your manual or with Toshiba Tech Support and find out how to reset your CMOS. Once you do this, reinstall the new module. If it fails to boot, clear the CMOS again. Clearing the CMOS is also sometimes called CLRTC or clearing the real time clock. This is sometimes necessary when installing new memory .
