engjeff
There is a small section on the +2 pin that interferes with the 8pin slot. What can I do?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 19, 2009 The 6+2 pin connector is a PCIE connector, you are plugging this into the video card correct? If you are trying to plug it into the motherboard then it will not fit, you will need to use the 8 pin (4+4 pin) connector that is specifically designed to be plugged into your motherboard. engjeff
My motherboard has two 8 pins needed, it is an xeon board. I know it may not be supported but, I really need to have this machine up today. Is there anything I can do?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 19, 2009 If both 8-pins need to be plugged into the motherboard then the only PSU we make that would be compatible would be our HX1000. The HX1000 has 2x 8pin EPS 12v connectors.
