Pillager101
Hey guys, Excited about the H50 and i do hope that independent reviews find that it does indeed outperform high performance air coolers. My question is on the orientation of the installation of the fan/radiator. Can the radiator be installed horizontally, on the top exhaust fan of the case? If yes, would it impact performance in anyway or shorten the lifespan?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 16, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 16, 2009 It would depend on how tall the case is and where you are putting the H50. If you are using it on the CPU then more then likely it will have to go above the I/O and be installed Vertical, but it is a sealed system and can go any direction. Pillager101
Ah, so as long as the hoses reach without issues the radiator/fan assembly can be vertical or horizontal? The reason i ask is because a while back i was looking at another self enclosed system The Apogee H120 from swiftness and they said that they radiator must be in a vertical position to function properly. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 17, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 17, 2009 The H50 can be mounted in any orientation ;):
