Hi

I have found this Value ram VS1GSDS400 in a local shop for 30 bucks.

I was wondering if I can safely remove the old 512mb pc2700 module and install that one without haivng issues (ibook 1.33ghz 12'' mid 2005)

Thanks in advance

Looking at the photo, it has all the 8 chips on an unique side, isn't it (the reccomended one has 4 bigger chips on a side, so I suppose that there are 8 chips in total, on 2 sides)?

I posted on Apple's board too, let's hope I get some answers.

edit:

The fact that the 512mb pc2700 works does matter?

This was my only doubt as exposed in 12:46 AM post.

Luckily the law could let me bring back an item for whatever reason, even if I don't like the package colour, in the next 10 days, and they must refund me, but I really wouldn't do this...

The way they look will have little to do with the actual configuration, IE a module made with By 4 memory IC will look the same as one made with by 8's but the MB or chipset would address them differently.
