I'm also now experiencing this same problem with an 8GB GT, i followed the RMA link, submitted the form but haven't received any communication from anyone, not even a confirmation the RMA was received.

 

I live in Australia so it is very difficult to phone call Technical Support. Is there anyway i can follow this up without a case number?

My drive is 32GB, but it's now OK again after using the SMI Mass Production Tool.

Sorry I can't do the RMA as I live in Bali and the drive is 2 years old (the support from local retailer is only 1 year), so the SMI software fix is my only option.
