planter345
Hello... I am needing some help before I purchase my new computer parts... I am getting the EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 Motherboard along with Intel Core i7 920 CPU... I want to purchase this RAM: Corsair TR3X6G2000C8GTF Now my question... Is it possible to run the RAM at the full speed (2000 MHz) with 6 Gigs of this RAM, also how about 12 Gigs? Thanks, Dave
Wired
You'd have to overclock the system a fair bit. Doubt you'd get 12 GB to run that fast.
planter345
Thanks for the info... I don't plan on overclocking at all... If I leave the system at standard settings, no overclocking, what would be the maximum speed I could get for RAM... I pretty sure that if I don't over clock at all, I won't need the 2000 MHz RAM... but could you recommend what RAM I should get? Thanks, Dave
