Also at times during startup it turns on for about 2 seconds and restarts and goes on doing the same. Doesnt even reach the BIOS and the POST screen. I replaced the RAMS and also tried single chanel, didnt solve the problem. Also reset the CMOS but to no avail. i selected this psu model vx 550 after going through psu finder in corsir website , ami useing the right psu for this config ...or is ther any other issue . i do not have anyother system to try this psu ....pls help on this Thanks Sharu Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the PSU powers on and stays on, then there is a possibility that your system is triggering the OCP/OVP (overcurrent and overvoltage protection) circuits on the PSU due to an out of spec signal from the motherboard. There could also be a short or a grounding issue within the system preventing the PSU from powering on and staying on. If this is the case then I would recommend testing the PSU in a different system to be sure. If the PSU is still not powering on properly then let us know and we will be happy to replace it!
