jarrodward
Hello all, Several years since I cracked open a new case for real PC building. Many trips to Microcenter later and I have something functional. However... using my old 3 gigs of ram and wishing to use the 4 gigs of new Corsair memory I bought: 2 sticks of CM2x2048-6400C5. 5-5-5-18 800mhz. When I install the sticks into the mobo, it will not post at all. I tried everything, including buying a new PSU (which I needed anyways really) and finally had to just go back to my old memory. Here's my CPU-Z stats: CPU-Z Validator 3.0 (also in sig) I am not sure why it doesn't just work as plug-n-play. When I install one stick and boot, seems to work fine. When I try the other stick alone, it doesn't post. Any recommendations on exact settings in my own BIOS to make this work? Thank you so much for your suggestions. I'm really at a loss and my wife is giving me the beatdown for buying so much cr*p.... JW
Yellowbeard
Can you post a link to the specifications on that MOBO?
