JohnTx12
Hey all about 6 months ago or so I upgraded my whole rig. I got a Corsair 750 for my power supply. Not to long after (maybe a month or so) whenever I would turn my computer off for the night and then start it back up in the morning I would get a screech from my computer and after looking at my motherboard it was saying that start up was stopping at my memory. I soon found out that if I just kept restarting my computer (restart button) that after about the 10th times (9-11 times on avrg) it would finial start up! Now I was wondering if this could be a problem with my power supply not charging some capacitors or something? Its not the ram cause I have tried diff ram and that would not make sense anyways cause it does end up working. Also right after I installed and started using my power supply our tv (which is not a great one or anything) started getting a lot of "snow" and it would only happen if my computer was on. Could this be my power supply? Thank you all for your time in helping me with this!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 19, 2009 Not starting could be anything, was this a new build or did you just upgrade the PSU? Getting snow on your TV is not uncommon, but maybe you need to move the computer to another outlet especially if they share the same power source. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 19, 2009 Can you test the PSU in another system?
JohnTx12
I can but it would be a pain....Can you like give me the chances that it is the PSU?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 19, 2009 The return rate is less that 2% so by that there is a 2% chance the PSU is the Cause but I don't have a problem replacing the unit if you like. Let's get it replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it.
JohnTx12
Well I don't think that you make bad hardwear...But considering that it did happen about a week after I started using it could it not be that I just got a bad one? Also are you saying I that I could just try swapping out my powersupply? Also do I pay shipping and all that?
Wired
You pay for shipping to Corsair, they pay for shipping back to you.
