bongholio
Hi, I just bought a TR3X6G2000C7GTF and I cant seem to run it at 1866 and above. I can only be stable at 1600 CL9(even CL8 at 1600 not stable). What bios settings do I need to set? If I set it to 1866, 7-8-7-20, dram at 1.65, I cant POST. Also do I need to bump the QPI voltage really high? For a 965, its 1.22, so i need to set at least +0.38? Is it safe as its in the red zone already(eclipse only has increments and not actual qpi voltage so i can only estimate). Please help. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 13, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 13, 2009 I am sorry but that may be the BIOS with that MB, we saw the same results when we tested it. The top seemed to be about DDR1700-1800. I would wait for the next BIOS version and see what happens also do you have the latest BIOS?
bongholio
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have the latest bios 1.7b1. Any recommended settings to run it at around 1700-1800? Or any board you can recommend that can handle this beast with ease? Thinking of ditching this for a new one when I received this reply from MSI support. They told me to update to the latest bios and when it didnt work, they replied with this: "Eclipse SLI motherboard supports six unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 800/1066/1333*/1600* (OC) SDRAM, 24GB Max. But your Corsair Dominator GT TR3X6G2000C7GTF is over spec., it can't get 7-8-7-20 2000MHz at 1.65v. Eclipse SLI can't support memory of 1866 and above." Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 13, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 13, 2009 I would suspect they will run at Cas 6 or 7 @ DDR1600 1.65 Volts with out breaking a sweat, try that and then work your way up from there.

I tried Cas 8 (8-8-8-24) first but get BSOD. Do I need to bump the QPI voltage also even if its DDR1600? I left it at +0.15.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 14, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 14, 2009 Yes the memory Voltage will need to be 1.65 Volts and the QPI will have to be at about 1.5 -1.7 Volts to get it to run tighter timings.

Not sure what happened but after trying to run 1600 CAS 8 at 1.65v QPI, I cant even POST. Even after clearing CMOS, D-Led just shows CPU INI. I just hope my 965 didnt get fried. Brought it to the shop I bought it from and they are testing if its the mobo or the CPU.
