butvinjd
Last night my PC was running fine. I did some gaming and video editing with no issues whatsoever. I shut it down last night through Windows. This morning when I went to turn it on, the fans spun and the LED lights on them lit up, but nothing continued to receive power. The different lights on the motherboard stay lit up at all times and they are still lit, so that tells me that the board is receiving some sort of power. The thing just won't turn on fully. I am hoping that this is not a dead PSU issue, because I really need this PC up and running for my job. Thanks ahead of time for any assistance or troubleshooting ideas. butvinjd
Sorry I forgot to mention that I was able to place a paperclip in the atx connector and get a fan to run full speed no problem.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 11, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 11, 2009 I would first reset your BIOS via the CLRTC jumper on the motherboard, and then test the memory modules one at a time to rule out a failing memory module. If you still have the same results then I would test the PSU in a different system just to see if the problem follows the PSU or if it stays with your system. If it looks like replacing the PSU may resolve the problems then we can replace it for you, however if the PSU turns on and stays on and you just get nothing on the screen then there could be some other problem. To have the PSU replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.”
butvinjd
Thanks for the reply. I did just update my BIOS recently to help with issues I was having with the ATI cards, so that could be the problem. This is definitely the last time I team up Asus and ATI.
