Cryden
I am trying to reimage my computer with some new memory that Corsair shows to be compatible with the EVGA 780i. As the Windows Vista x64 CD is being read, I get the BSOD. I get BSOD at DDR2 800 and DDR2 1066. My PC boots fine. I have the latest version of the BIOS. The sticks test fine with the latest version of memtest86+. I have the voltage set to 2.1v for the memory. My PC will begin to install Windows with TWINTX2048-8500C5D. Do any changes need to be made within BIOS to enable this memory to work with Vista x64? Is TWIN2X4096-8500C5D really compatible with the EVGA 780i? Has anyone else had this same problem? I would like to get my money's worth out of the TWIN2X4096-8500C5D and run it at DDR2 1066. I appreciate any help! :[pouts:
Wired
Install Vista with one stick, fully update Vista, then pop the 2nd stick in.
Cryden
It still didn't work with one stick of the TWIN2X4096-8500C5D. I continued using TWINTX2048-8500C5D until I finished installing and updating Vista. You were right. It's finally working at DDR2 1066 now! Thanks for your help!
