Chocobar
I have an HX 520 and a GTX 260. Should I plug both pci-e modular cables in the video card and power supply? I've seen people talk about plugging one in the motherboard, was wondering what that was. Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 5, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 5, 2009 PCI-E cables should only be used with your video cards, the motherboard connector will either be an 8 or 4-pin depending on the type of motherboard and there is an 8/4 pin connector on our PSU which can be used with either type of motherboard. Chocobar
So basically to power up my GTX 260 correctly, all I have to do is plug the two modular cables in my video card and power supply? Nothing else? Thanks.

Thanks. Correct. Plug it into the correct slot on the MOBO and attach the 2 cables. This should be in the manual that accompanies your GTX260. Ah sorry my GTX 260 was an RMA. My 8800 GTS 512's fan died so they sent me this new card with no booklet.
Yellowbeard
Odd, does the manufacturer provide any online documentation or an online manual?
Chocobar
Odd, does the manufacturer provide any online documentation or an online manual? It is BFG Tech. I cant find an online manual explaining how to install it on their website. Only a specsheet.
