ghost_recon88
I've got the system in my profile, and am wondering if the HX620 will be able to power the system without a problem. I know the i7 @ 4.5GHz will be sucking a load of watts by itself, then adding a pair of video cards into the mix  Anyone have any thoughts? I already have the PSU, just not gonna upgrade it unless I absolutely need to.
angelicvoices
No way.. You'd be able to run a single 4850x2 but two would need a lot more. 850w I'd say would be minimum, assuming it's a good one like Corsair makes.
ghost_recon88
OK, well then what I'll probably end up doing is running the video cards off the HX620, and the rest of the system off another 550w I have. Thanks for the advice.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 5, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 5, 2009 I wouldn't be surprised if the HX620 powered the system without any problems, but it would not be ideal. We would recommend at least our TX750 or TX850 if you are heavily overclocking the system.
