Scrim
Hi, I bought a 2x2GB DDR3 kit type: TW3X4G1600C9DHXNV and then found a known issue with it and my P45 based motherboard: http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=71780 So I used the RMA process to get it replaced: Case #940076 RMA #1103253 I received an email today saying this replacement RAM was on its way to me: TW3X4G1600C9DHX G Apart from the G at the end this is the exact product in the sticky post above by Ram Guy that doesn't work with P45 motherboards. Have I been sent the wrong replacement or is this a special version for P45 boards? Thanks, Scrim
Scrim
I guess I need to wait for Corsair's Technical Support to reopen for the answer. Meanwhile: Has anyone with an Intel P45 chipset motherboard had TW3X4G1600C9DHX or TW3X4G1600C9DHXNV RAM replaced by Corsair? What was the replacement? Did it work? DerekT
I guess I need to wait for Corsair's Technical Support to reopen for the answer. Corsair support staff are not here on the weekends. They work Monday to Friday. Please change your fonts to a normal one. You don't need to create large fonts!
Wired
Has anyone with an Intel P45 chipset motherboard had TW3X4G1600C9DHX or TW3X4G1600C9DHXNV RAM replaced by Corsair? What was the replacement? Did it work? They are replaced by the same part #. If they no longer exist, then they will go over your options with you. I think at least the former is still in stores. Scrim
Thanks for the feedback :): I understand replacing faulty RAM with the same type, but my problem is a known incompatibility issue. If they send me more incompatible RAM they'll have just wasted mine and their time and postage costs :!: I hope they havn't :!: Scrim
DerekT
Is there a reason you originally bought Nvidia programmed (EPP Profiled) memory for an Intel board? What you are getting back will be G (Green) and not specific to either platform.

What you are getting back will be G (Green) and not specific to either platform. No reason, I just wanted 2x2GB of fast DDR3 RAM and that was available at a good price. Is it more likely to work with my P45 Gigabyte motherboard? Scrim
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 6, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 6, 2009 With the Chipset/MB and CPU in your profile list the fastest you can run the memory will be DDR1066 unless you over clock the CPU. With Intel Chipsets you cannot run the memory frequency faster than the CPU FSB. And Tw3X4G1333C9 would be the most popular part for that config. Scrim
 Thanks RAM GUY. I've tried overclocking but I guess I can't be sure if it's the RAM of something else limiting me.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 13, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 13, 2009 Start with the memory timings at Auto and set the memory frequency at DDR1066 and set the memory Voltage to 1.8 Volts and see if it is stable with http://www.memtest.org.
