witchbutter
I just shelled out quite a bit of money for RAM I can get up to high speeds, but sadly I am unable to get it to work. The fastest I can get it to run stable is 1333 with 9-9-9-24 timings. I know that SPD is supposed to set it to 1866 automatically as long as I set the voltage to 1.65. However on automatic settings it runs at 1066. I have tried setting it at 1600 with automatic timings--this fails memtest. I have tried setting it at 1866 with automatic timings--this does not post. I have tried clocking up the FSB to 165 to get the timings up to 1600 from 1333. This will run for a few hours before bluescreening or exhibiting other nasty windows behavior. I have not had any heat issues with the processor, and while the gpu runs hot, I keep the fan cranked to make it always below 60C. And I should point out, that since I installed this ram to replace my Cheapo 1066 memory Prime 95 always causes my system to bluescreen no matter what ram settings I use. Can anyone help me on how to configure this bios to use this ram?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 30, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 30, 2009 On the DFI MB untill the BIOS matures I doubt you will get much above 1500 MHz and that will have to be set manually it is not automatic unless XMP is working
witchbutter
This board has gone through 4 bios revisions since I first posted this, and you now have another thread that shows how to set the settings to 1866 and it still does not work for me. If I try to set it to 1866 the computer will not boot.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 31, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 31, 2009 We can try and do an RMA and replace the modules if you would like to try that, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. witchbutter
My RMA request has been ignored for 2 days. Why is Corsair not honoring their warranty and compatibility guarantee?
