hikomarukun
I have an EVGA 680i mobo with an Intel core2 duo proc. and I have a quick question. Does the new triple channel dominator series run exclusively on X58 boards (intel core i7) or is it also compatible with, say, my board? Thank you all. -hikomarukun-
DerekT
The 680i is DDR2 compatible, not DDR3. All triple channel memory is i7 DDR3 Memory. So the answer to your question is that the triple channel memory has been tested and validated on X58 mainboards. That being said, I have tested the i7 DDR3 and it works just fine in Dual Channel Mode. The problem is that there are three sticks and you lose full Dual Channel Mode if you use all three modules.
