atwillman
Hi, i have a Asus M2N SLI deluxe with with 4 1GB sticks of the TWIN2X2048-6400C4. My problem is that the computer will boot and run normally just that it wont run in dual channel. It runs perfectly fine with the 4 sticks in and with just 2 sticks it runs in dual channel. The bios is updated and i messed with DRAM voltage as well as memory timings and it did not work. I have read the forums saying this memory may not work with 4GB in this mobo but the wierd thing is my system boots and runs fine, just not in dual channel. TIA
Wired
There is no such thing as Dual Channel memory, as this is a property of the memory controller in how it handles memory. This is why you can place memory in different slot configurations on a motherboard and it will register as single or dual channel. In otherwords, look more towards the memory controller in your CPU as being the issue. Mixing versions won't help the issue however.
