DerekT
Download Memtest86+ V2.11 from--->Hereand extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to a CD-ROM disk. Shut the system down. Insert a single stick in slot one (Closest to CPUP) and restart. Boot to the Memtest CD and allow for two full passes. Then remove that stick and insert the second one in its place. Retest. Insert a stick in slot one and slot three and retest. As well, please post your report such as: Stick 1 - Slot 1 = No boot/Pass/Fail Memtest Stick 1 - Slot 3 = No boot/Pass/Fail Memtest Stick 2 - Slot 1 = No boot/Pass/Fail Memtest Stick 1 & 2 - Slot 1 & 3 = No boot/Pass/Fail Memtest Results? DerekT
Did you burn it as an image? The ISO standard is an image and must be burned as such. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ht/burnisofile.htm i already did from a cd-r and it gives me boot failure press any key to continue

DerekT
pass 2, errors 0, This means that your issue is external to the memory. The memory is not the issue.
chiripio
So that means the config on my ram is ok so that issue with turning on and off could be something wrong with the motherboard ?
DerekT
After re-reading your post I wonder if you are speaking about the Core2 shut down. If you shut Core2 down and restart there can be a test of the system, restart and boot. Doubly so if you actually remove the power to the system. Download CPU-z from Here .Post screenshots of CPU-z's CPU, Memory and SPD tabs.

DerekT
You're running fine. If your system starts up, shuts down, starts up, boots and enters the OS, then you are fine.
