Einn
Hello, my name is Kevin. A little about myself before i address my issue. I am looking forward to building my very first computer shortly. I have a some knowledge about the insides of a computer (knowing what is needed, how they are hooked up, etc) but not the full on details about some of the compatibility issues. My friend who builds computers for others in his spare time gave me some pretty good advice about a solid processor/motherboard combo along with other things. I choose the AMD Phenom II X4 940 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103471) and he recommended the ASUS M4A79 Deluxe motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131361). My problem is, i went to your website to determine the best ram (as i have always heard good things about Corsair RAM) to put into this system. I followed the instructions to find my motherboard, but unfornately it is not listed. It has the M4A79T-Deluxe version, but that uses DDR3 and is not the motherboard i will be getting. Any help or recommendation of RAM that would be compatible with my set-up is much appreciated. Thank you! Kevin
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 21, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 21, 2009 Thast MB just came out and may not have been added yet but I would suggest using Twin2x4096-8500C5DF for 4 Gig as the best choice for that MB.
