kdkrone
I just received this drive today and went to format it in NTFS on my WinXP sp3 system. It is formatted in FAT32 and that is the only option that was presented when I tried to reformat it. How do I format this drive in NTFS?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 20, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 20, 2009 Go to Device manager with the Drive connected and then under Disk Drives right click on the Corsair Flash Drive and Select properties then under Policies change the drive properties to Non-removable and then you will see the option to format to NTFS. kdkrone
I did as you said and there are two options: 1, Optimize for Quick Removal. 2, Optimize for Performance. Neither allows for NTFS formatting. The only option is FAT32 in each circumstance. Next option??
kdkrone
I decided to try a different system in my office, also WinXP sp3. Solved the problem. No idea why it did not work on mine... Thanks
