Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 20, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 20, 2009 The HX620 and HX520 modular cables are interchangeable, however the HX1000 modular cables should only be used with the HX1000. If you need to request some additional cables, please send an email to jackflash@corsairmemory.com with your name, address and phone number along with your request. Please include a description of the cables and how many you need.
benniebeeker
well, joseph from your parts department already sent me a cable... but its a 6 pin from a hx1000... i was looking for a sata ribbon for the 620 that had 4 connectors for 4 hard disks... can i just plug in the 6 pin from the hx1000 into the pci-e of the 620??? the cable itself fits into the power supply, i just don't know which pins line up on which holes for correct voltages... could you guys grab a multimeter and find out for me??? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 21, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 21, 2009 The PCIE ports on the HX620 are all 12v and ground, if this port is powering your optical drives, or HDDs, it could fry them. Please contact our customer service at 888-222-4346 and dial "0", (510) 657-8747 or email rmaservice@corsairmemory.com and let them know what happened, and they should be able to resolve this for you ASAP!
