panther8644
while on i can't seem to hear anything wrong with it, everything works fine and stable, but when the unit turns off, its starts ticking like a washing machine is in the next room (quieter though lol) it is very annoying when i'm trying to sleep though. i have turned it off and opened my case, its not the hard drive or anything else. to me it seems that the fan doesn't turn off because i can feel some air still moving out of it, i haven't looked inside the unit yet to confirm. HELP please :p:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 15, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 15, 2009 If you detach the motherboard from the PSU do you still hear the clicking when the unit is off?
panther8644
yes the only thing different is it clicks more erratically, usually it is pretty steady, but then it was all over the place. and i also looked, the fan is not spinning yet air is being pushed out, note that the air and the noise stop when i flip the psu power switch and doesn't start again till the next power down. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 16, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 16, 2009 I would try plugging it directly into the wall, and if you still have the same problems, then lets get it replaced! Please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.”
