itechuser
Dear RAM GUY, I purchased a 16GB Voyager GT 2 months ago. I notice the poor performance on the write speed and it leads me here after some research on the internet. I have read the following posts and have followed all the recommendations from you and other knowledgeable users. http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=67674 http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=76788 http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=77783 http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=77877 My initial benchmark on HDBENCH V3.4 Beta6 100MB test was Read: 22750 Write: 7773 RRead: 21768 and RWrite: 2421 Then I took the following actions 1. Formatting the drive with the SD Organization format utility 2. Formating the drive using cmd prompt 3. Using "optimize for performance" mode instead of "optimize for quick removal" mode Now I am getting the following result on HDBENCH Read: 22285 Write: 11556 RRead: 21988 and RWrite: 3465 Tested on 3 different machines and there is little difference on the result. According to your site, I am expecting the write speed should between 14-17mbps - See RAM GUY http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=76788 reply dated 02-21-09. My performance is 27% less than the lower end of the range of speeds you indicated, which is significant. Please assist, Regards Itechuser
