Grim Tuesday
I have some RAM that I bought almost a year and a half ago from newegg. I found out a few weeks ago that this RAM is counterfeit. The RAM purchased was CM2X1024-6400C4. That is what is in one of my slots. Using CPU-Z, I found that in my other slot, there is some VS1GB800D2. These were sold in a paired set. I am aware that Corsair does not support counterfeit RAM, all I need is the proof that this RAM is counterfeit, so I can get a RMA from Newegg. I have contacted Corsair tech support by E-Mail twice, and have recived no response either time. Here are screenys of CPU-Z and the RAM! The right RAM : http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4893/slot4good.gif The wrong RAM: http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/8392/slot2bad.gif
Wired
I doubt memory bought from NewEgg was counterfeit. Can you post pics of the memory label? More likely is that the SPD was misprogrammed.
Grim Tuesday
I know that about Newegg. The reason that I found out about this in the begginging, was because I was unable to OC with that VS stick in. I will post pics of the RAM shortly, but they both have the Corsair label on them, and look exactly the same, but one has a different serial number, but it is only by one didget.
