cmolken
I am building an i7 system and was wondering if the 620hx I purchased would sufficiently handle the following build. Intel i7 920 Asus Rampage II Extreme 6 gigs DDR 3 2 WD Cavair Black HD's 1 DVD burner 2 EVGA GTX285's 10 Scythe Flex fans (Will change once I make a case decision On a side note hope the Corsair case comes out before I make a final case decision :p:
Wired
http://www.corsair.com/psufinder/default.aspx No. Only option is the HX1000W (mainly due to the 2 GTX 285s).
cmolken
Okay thanks for the reply. Saw another post saying it should work. Not sure if it would be okay to run both with the 620 or return my 620 and get the 1000.
Wired
I'll put it this way, I built a similar rig, and chose to get a HX1000W over the HX620W I already had. Those video cards require so much amps, it's not worth the risk.
cmolken
Okay thanks Wired :) Spending a good amount of change on this computer and don't want to comprise its health in anyway. I'm returning the HX620 and will get the HX1000.
Wired
No problemo. Check out my album in my profile for pics of the build. Only thing changed since then is the CMFAX2 fan I got today, and the 280s are being replaced w/ 285s soon.
cmolken
I checked out your build earlier very nice :) I'm going with the atcs 840 black, but hoping Corsair releases a case before I build my system. Now to wait for May to buy the rest of my parts
