bearbear
I have used Consair Voyager for several months. It works fine except that when the USB drive is nearly full and when I put files to the USB, the computer will hang and cannot access the files. After a while, it is okay. But yesterday, when it happened again....after the computer hangs, the file structure became a mess....e.g. names of the files became strange characters, some files in the folders were missing...and when I opened the word/powerpoint files, they turned into strange characters.I wonder if the file structure has bad sector or not. One more point is that the day before I plugged the USB to my EeePC to read a pdf file. Yesterday I plugged it to a PC (Windows XP). What can I do? I have some important data in my USB. Can I recover the data with some data-recover softwar.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 3, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 3, 2009 If the data is important then you may want to review the article here: . For some data recoveries advise. You may also want to check out websites such as http://www.download.com, http://www.softpedia.com, or http://www.snapfiles.com and search for "USB Data Recovery," to see if you can find some freeware/shareware that may help you recover the data. If all else fails then you may need to contact a local data recovery service center to find out if the data is recoverable. If you still have problems, let’s get it replaced. Please use the RMA request found in TSXpress or follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
