RAM heatsink connects with CPU heatsink - problem?

I'm in the process of configuring my new system. I just came across a potential problem and would like an expert opinion. I can't find an answer anywhere on the web.

I want to buy the ASUS M3A78-T mobo.

The CPU heatsink is the Noctua NH-C12P http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=18&lng=en.

I want the CORSAIR TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX 4-4-4-12.

It seems that -- because of all involved heatsinks -- the RAM will only fit in the two slots farthest away from the CPU. Even then, it is very likely that some part of the RAM heatsink will touch the CPU heatsink.

My question: Will the contact with the CPU heatsink impact the function / life of the RAM in any way?

I'd very much appreciate an answer to this exact question. I did extensive research on all parts and I'm not looking for recommentations for alternatives.
