mike2h
I get the components listed in my hw specs delivered tomorrow. I see many doom-laden messages about using 12gb so any help appreciated. Option 1: Play safe - just stay with 3x2gb Sticks 1600mhz and regret for ever after. Option 2: Cancel 6gb and go for 12gb = time delay.(HX3X12G1600C9) Option 3: Proceed with 6 gb and RISK buying another set of 6gb once parameters clearer. If this strategy fails - could be costly. (TR3X6G1600C9 x 2 bought 1 month apart) Someone trying option 3 using two 6gb modules which were roughly matched gave the following result: System stable OC at 3.8 ghz and DRAM speed of 1513mhz. This was achieved by upping the voltages on QPI and setting the memory multiplier to the lowest level. I would be grateful for advice on the Deluxe P6T V2 bios settings for HX3X12G1600C9 (I will interpolate the settings for option 3.) I would be happy with overall system speed of 3.5 OC and AdobeCS4 not crashing at the 6 gb limit.

You may wish to read this thread. http://www.houseofhelp.com/v3/showthread.php?t=76943&highlight=12GB You may have to drop some bandwidth to run with 12GB but it is very likely you can make the grade.
