jtypeb
Was excited to pair 2 x 2Gg 8500C5D with e8500 on new Ga Ep45-UD3P for my newest build. It's not starting out all that great though as I'm pretty sure I have a bad stick of ram. I tested with memtest86+ v2.11 with both sticks in and mobo all default. 250+ errors after 1 pass. So I reset the bios manually to 533MHz / CAS: 5-5-5-15 and set the voltage to 2.1v. Also disabled the usb keyboard. Pretty much got the same result. More than 200 errors after 1 pass. All errors in test #2,3,4,6,7. Seems like most in #6 but not positive. Anyway, then tested each stick seperately, 1 pass in each slot. Stick A--Errors in every slot. Consistently got over 200 errors in each slot. Again Test #2,3,4,6,7 had the errors every time. Stick B--No errors in any of the 4 slots. Sounds like bad ram to me. Whattaya think? Excellent job Corsair and Ramguy. This was the 4th different set I've bought over the years. I will be buying Corsair in the future. Keep up the great work!
