Cockeymofo76
replaced the old CM2x512A-6400 with TWIN2x4096-6400C5 g should be getting the 4 gigs supposedly getting 2.75 when the computer boots up it says that the memory is DDR 667 CPU-Z shows that all of the memory is there but reports the tRAS as being 15 not 18... Should I return the memory and get some that has the appropriate tRAS? how easy is it to fix the mobo problem...
Yellowbeard
Please read AN806: http://www.corsairmemory.com/appnotes/default.aspx What you are seeing is a limitation of using a 32bit OS. You'll need to move to a 64bit OS to overcome this limitation.
Cockeymofo76
so what you are saying is that my comp is taking 1.25 gigs for MMIO?
Yellowbeard
so what you are saying is that my comp is taking 1.25 gigs for MMIO? Yes, that is correct. A 64bit OS will resolve this. However, if 2.75GB of memory is enough for your needs, there is no harm in running your system like it is with XP 32bit.
