hooldus
I’m planning to get the Corsair CX400W PSU and HIS Radeon HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 (or PowerColor Radeon HD 4670 PCS). Do I need any kind of special adapters to power this video card? I’m asking this because yesterday I read on newegg one comment: "…I needed the dual adapter for the molex pins to power this card". Do I have to worry or everything will be just fine with this configuration? Thank you in advance.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 25, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 25, 2009 I would suggest our HX520W PSU or our TX550W PSU for that Video card. But yes you may have to use an adapter depending on the actual maker of the card with the VX450 PSU.
FEAR6655
You would be cutting it very close with the CX400 and 4830. I believe all Corsair PSU's have the 6-pin PCI-e power, so you won't need any adaptors.
