DerekT
How many modules do you have? Are you looking for stock system settings? Corsair CMX512-3200C2PRO XMS3202v4.10436131-2 .. :): Hi, with a little more effort I found the specifications sheet here following your links and have the timings etc... dfifannick
I have found a data sheet, do you mean the 3-3-3-6 for a single module...and understand I should adjust for a single module...now...then switch off(shall I clear the cmos then) then install the 2nd module( I have 2 matched modules)this is where I am at now with this board...I won't.....give up... ...or do you mean in here.... http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=76787 ... you posted this for me and I still have problems so I am back. I am also trying to understand better what I am trying to actually do with this board regarding the bios settings and which setting is which...getting there slowly. I am taking my time to this and am in no hurry now.

dfifannick
CMX512-3200C2PRO XMS3208 v4.1 0436131-2 = Samsung TCCD ...is this the same as... CMX512-3200C2PRO XMS3202 v4.1 0436131-2 ...? because I found that when I looked ealier today before I asked here but thankyou for the post. I am actually trying to get into the habit of searching before I ask. :)::)::): I should have read this earlier and actually done it. I was not specifically advised to install one stick @ single stick suggested settings and this may have been a problem because installed one stick and set the suggested settings. With the one stick installed I chose 3-3-3-6, RamVoltage 2.7V , and others not really knowng which was what setting and pushed F10 and a hasty ENTER. PC booted ok and much quicker than before and so I installed the 2nd module upped the ram voltage to 2.8V and now am running memtest. I will post some screenshots to show where I am at now with this setup. Now with 1/2 dozen screenshots from various softwares I am getting to tweak randomly hoping all will be ok. Memtest has passed once ok... EDITED: :): When memtest has finished I will post some screenshots, because I will not know what I am talking about and you will be able to see I upgraded the bios to a 704-2BTA by someone "famous" or something like that. It was regarded as the best bios for the NF4 Ultra-D and the faster memory types, a reason I was asking about the CMX512-3200C2PRO chips. But it does appear the chips will a Samsung TCCD. Memtest has passed...twice ok...oh boy.... Seeing the pc booted ok with these timings seems the chips are the faster Samsung type. I wish there was a software for detecting the chips on memory modules...that's enough memtest for me...posting screenshots now :):
dfifannick
Here is what I think I may have got up to...note the Bios Version at the bottom...if the system stays stable now....well...see you soon... http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6381/everestoverclock.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/7499/cpuzmemory.pnghttp://img220.imageshack.us/img220/366/everestsensor.jpg

dfifannick
...woot :): The board seems ok now. The settings I posted above with the pretty pictures...oh they look good don't they. I just got my first lcd monitor a month ago and colours are 100% I must say....so you understand....I had to post the pretty ones as well... ...anyhow, I think I can go ahead with overclocking the cpu a little now. The last 3 reboots went ok. Before after about the 3rd reboot the system would stall at a blinkin' cursor. The trick seems to have been either saving the appropriate bios in the Genie place, I think it is in there...or the trick may be it in the setting of the memory...I got a clue that these NF4 UltraD boards are designed to use high spec ram so I got a bit excited when I saw the chips in this ram are probably the Samsung TCCD chips. What do you reckon...? Why did you ask me how many modules I had? And...why would the bios ask me for a password at any stage if I had never ever set a bios password with this motherboard? it is so funny....and so funny not....that all of the symptoms I experienced with this motherboard I remember having seen somewhere in my searches for solutions for this motherboard....and they were all in the same thread and include this bios password experience....well...I ask... btw....this system is cracker fast now.....I think it is faster than this LGA775 DC 3.0Ghz cpu with DDR2 @ 667Mhz in Dual Channel mode. dfifannick
the board is still going ok. After reboots and cld boots and game laying. I already ran memtest and Prime and it passed fine then.
