Ramo1203
Hello everbody! I upgraded my computer (Changed my E8400 for a Q9450), and I was thinking about using my trusty Corsair VX450W. But most online PSU Calculator give a power consumption around 405-410W. I was planning to OC my Q9450 so is 450W enough? Should I upgrade my PSU or can it handle my computer and my OC? Would the HX520W be a good choice or the VX550W in case I need to upgrade? Thank for your Help!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 24, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 24, 2009 If you plan on over clocking then I would encourage a slightly bigger PSU and yes the HX520W or TX550W would both be good choices, but I would lean more to the HX520W as it allows a cleaner installed since it is modular.
