hundman
Hi I bought a Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3P motherboard and core2duo e8500. Im planning to get one 6gb kit (3x2gb) but i dont know if i will have problems running one of those kits. I have 3 options: TR3X6G1600C8D TR3X6G1600C9 TR3X6G1600C8 G All of these kits seems to be designed for corei7/x58 platforms and maybe i will have voltage problems with my motherboard. I read that: TW3X4G1800C8DF TW3X4G2000C9DF TW3X4096-1600C7DHX TW3X4G1600C9DHX are the modules recommended for the patform My question is if the 6gb Kits are ok? Thanks.... DerekT
They should be just fine. They have the same maximum voltages (2.0v). They have not been tested or validated for any Core2/Quad systems though and as such are not supported for those platforms. I have done this a few times now and not had any issues.
