ghostwalker
I have had these match set since 4/29/06 which was purchased through Newegg. Upon receiving items they were tested using the memtest. At that time after several hours of repeated testing....there were no errors found. Recently....over the last couple of months....my PC (home built) has been acting up. Getting ramdon characters in pages, half a jpg image will appear while the rest is in some psychedelic color. I've ran the memtest again, with just one module at a time. Neither now will pass the test. I'm getting (IIRC) errors around test number 5 or 6. All other hardware appears to be working find. About a week ago I had to reformat my drive after trying to install SP3....which never took. Since then, again I have been getting some problems with ramdon characters on pages and same problem with jpg images. Not sure if this is connected, but I'm even now unable to watch a youtube video to the end. About half-way though.....it goes into constant buffering mode. Suggestions please. ghostwalker
Okay I've had to get on my laptop to post this as I'm running the memtest now on my desktop. These times that you gave...they aren't listed as you have them in my bios settings. So I'm going to need some hand holding here. What I have is the trcd, tras, trp, etc. Which of those times go to what in the above sentence? I very seldom if at all get into the bios section. I'm running the memtest with the current settings that the motherboard set for these modules. At first I got stuck on test 7 with a freeze up. Finally found the USB legacy at to be disable. After correcting that I was able to run the test. Pass 1 found no errors on the first module and is currently running the second pass. Then I will continue with the test order of the modules as suggested. Just need help on getting these settings set as you suggested. TIA
