AngusM
can someone put me straight here? I bought an Asus P6T and a Corsair 12GB DDR3 10666C9 1333Mhz XMS3 Twin x Tri-channel Kit (6x2 GB) (TW3X4G1333C9) to run on Vista Ultimate 64 I thought that it would fill all the 6 slots and give me 12 gig of ram - but only 8 gig is showing - when I came to this forum and searched for compatible ram for the mobo, the recommended DIMM for the P6T came back as TR3X6G1333C9http://www.corsair.com/configurator/product_results.aspx?id=717938 Question - how to get 12 gig, - do I need to change the ram - or can I keep what i have and simply alter the bios settings? Or, if none of these apply then maybe either the ram is faulty and I should run a ram test - Or maybe Vista is losing the extra 4 gig of ram somewhere? - apologies - me is a v non-tech person! Hopefully replies won't go over my head. Thanks A
Wired
Are you saying you currently have THREE pairs of TW3X4G1333C9 that you're trying to run together?
AngusM
yes - the kit came as three pairs so I assumed it could be used that way. Is that not the case?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 15, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 15, 2009 Make sure you have flashed the most recent BIOS. Divide the modules into 2 pairs of three and try each set of 3 in the orange slots on the MOBO. How does it do in Vista?

There is a 6 stick kit however. HX3X12G1333C9. Is this what you bought?
