coolflame
I recently had an RMA Shipped that is sending me one TWINX2048-3200C2PT G. This is a replacement for one CMX1024-3200PT. My motherboard does not have dual channel memory and I was wondering if/how the TWINX2048-3200C2PT G will work with my specs. The description on the corsair site recommends that it be used with a dual channel supporting motherboard, but does not say if how well or if it works at all on a computer without dual channel. DerekT
You should be fine as long as your motherboard has allowances to set the DRAM voltage in the BIOS settings. Set to 2.75v and install the memory.
Wired
There is no such thing as Dual Channel memory, as this is a property of the memory controller in how it handles memory. This is why you can place memory in different slot configurations on a motherboard and it will register as single or dual channel. In otherwords, it'll work on a single channel system just fine.
