d52232dole
Hi, I got this board rev1.0, latest bios (F7) and 2xCorsair PC6400 (1GB/stick). I can't get the dual channel up. I installed 2 sticks on slot 1 & 3 and swapped with slot 2 & 4, but no sign. Please advise, thanks!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 6, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 6, 2009 Normally with Gigabye Dual channel would be slots 1-2 but check the manual to see what slots to use.
d52232dole
Currently I installed 2 sticks in slot 1 & 2, still can't get dual work. If I put them on slots 1 & 3, the loop of beeps and reboot occurred. Frustrated...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 8, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 8, 2009 Try clearing the BIOS and installing a single module in the 0 slot closest to the CPU. Will the system post and can you then get into the BIOS?
d52232dole
I cleared CMOS/BIOS, and installed 1 stick on slot 1, got into windows vista, turned off, installed 2nd stick on either slot 2, worked fine, but only single channel, removed 2nd stick on slot 2 and installed on slot 3, a loop of beep and reboot occurred again. Almost give up now, but still hope another solution..
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 11, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 11, 2009 If both of your memory modules will POST and run fine as a single module or with them both in the slots for single channel, then it sounds as if you may need to RMA the motherboard. Most likely you have a weak or failing memory controller.
